- Open area (%)
- The share of the surface left open. More open area lets wind through; less gives more shade and privacy.
- Weight
- In oz/yd² or g/m². Heavier mesh lasts longer on fences and in sling seats.
- Width
- The roll width you need, in inches or meters. Wider rolls mean fewer seams on long fences and big banners.
- UV resistance
- For screens, covers and chairs that stay outdoors all year.
- Fire rating
- NFPA 701 is the usual ask for mesh banners and screens at US venues and events.
- Printable
- Mesh banners need a surface made for your ink: solvent, eco-solvent, UV or latex.
