- Weight (g/m²)
- Frontlit banner is often about 440 g/m² (13 oz/yd²). Blockout and backlit grades run heavier.
- Finish
- Matte cuts glare under lights and in photos; gloss makes colors stand out outdoors.
- Print method
- Solvent, eco-solvent, UV or latex. The coating has to suit your ink.
- Width (up to 5 m)
- The roll width your printer takes. Rolls up to 5 m wide mean fewer welds on big banners.
- Fire rating
- B1 or M1 in Europe, NFPA 701 in the US, for banners at indoor venues and events.
